Christmas Exodus begins! 19 days of freedom!
Yeah, I've been down at Sand Hill at Fort Benning and now I'm back! Basic training has temporarily been put on halt for the holiday season for me and others. And what a great time too, I was just starting to miss SotE really bad. Smoke sessions by angry drill sergeants aren't that great of a substitute, heh heh.
I've done some cool things down at FB though. I ran the Obstacle course (rope climb was a *****), did the Eagle Tower Confidence course (one 50-foot high wall and lots of things to do like rappel down it and scale across one, two, and three rope bridges), did a couple field exercises (it was cold, cold, cold out there in a tent...), and, our all time favorite, the Gas Chamber (CS gas is better than Nyquill for colds, except that it burns your face like fire and chokes you out).
Bottom line, I'm back in action for a little over two weeks. It's great to be back!!
