The dark elfen male walked calmly and steadily alone. His handsome features were pale but strong in the setting sun. Strong hands lay across the hilt of a sword, while radiant blue eyes stared steadfast ahead.
from behind a tree she had watched him to quiet to come forth... she stepped forward as was leaving accidentally stepping on a twig which snapped beneath her feet.. she flinched at the sound then looked back up.. had he already left? did he hear her? she normally was not around others and so was not the one to just start talking to another...she looked around was he gone? .. she had wished he was not..
she was shocked.. she had thought that he had left.. she peered around the hemlock which had hidden her.. her deep green eyes danced around looking to see where he was for she had heard his voice.. right? a slight breeze blew threw tossing the lose leaves away from their branches and danced in her long silky brown hair.. she had a beautiful face but never thought of such things and truly did not even know..
she was not one for crowds and was truly not dressed for it ether.. her outfit was not reveling but still not for crowds.. she was in an outfit used only by her as she had only lived in the woods her whole life.. it was of large leaves creating a gorgeous dress.. the leaves never grew around these parts.. and the only possession she carried was a hand carved staff.. many carvings beautiful and many horrifying..
"he hello?" she had a kind and tender voice but still one that showed that she was unsure if she had truly heard him or if she had been hallucinating..
Turning around, he walked the long distance back. Blue eyes pale and clear were reflected in the last of the sunlight as he searched the treeline ahead of him.
At last there was the voice of a maiden. "M'lady why do you cower behind a tree, when there is still sun to warm you.
Personally Brilton could not stand sunlight, but most beings of the earth were drawn by it.
she smiled.. " i'm not cowering.." she stepped forward to have a better look at whom she was specking to, with every move her hair seemed to flow and outfit seemed to sway with every motion.. "i'm just.." she paused. "i'm just not use to talking to others thats all".. she felt embarrassed for she knew most would think child like of her for such and act.. but she was not a child but a lady.. "if i may.. what is your name?"
she halted in she steps with a smile.. "my name is Neshna and i am daughter of well i have no idea.." she shrugged her shoulder, for her past was all a blur.. a gust of wind blew from behind her rushing toward Brilton blowing her long hair in her face.. she gently lifted her hand to remove it from her view tucking it be hind her ear.. a small smile spread across her face and closed her eyes as the wind seemed to toss her hair, her dress seemed to dance with the song of the wind brushing past them both.. opening her eyes again looking to Brilton.. "How many have you met since you came here?" the wind seemed to die down just a small bit..
Brilton smiled, his mouth curving into a wicked grin. Two twin fangs pushed slightly through his thin lips. Closing his mouth quickly, he spoke, attempting to conceal the fangs. "Well, Lady Neshna since I have come I have met not a single soul by name." Checking to himself, no he had not known his victim's names, so he was not lieing.
To Brilton, Neshna looked ever so innocent. The perfect protrayal of the good in the world.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Brilton sighed in relief, his skin feeling cooler rather then burning. "By what place do you reside M'lady?" Brilton curious at where someone this introverted could dwell.
with the last bit of light of the setting sun she had seen white and understood.. she was not afraid but kept her eyes low now still looking at him but kept her eyes in the shadows and away from the moons light.. "i reside nowhere.. and come from nowhere.." her voice now not so bashful.. the shadows of the moons light seemed to darken her whole body and her hair seemed to become almost black and same for her dress.. she placed her hand over her stomach for at night is when her pain came.. the pain of the past.. she still would not allow her eyes to touch the light.. she still was not afraid of his fangs..
Brilton was intrigued by this lady of the forest. His senses had been alerted, and his blood flowed with anticipation. This was not the sensation he felt before a kill.
"I too am from nowhere, and reside nowhere, I move with the shadows and rest in the darkness." The dark elf's voice was lighter and without the thickness of the shadows around them.
Ellemire had been watching those two from a distance. A shy little pixie and a lustful dark elf. Wow, this could become interesting. She walked closer to watch, her own wings spreading every so often to stretch the cramping muscles. She sang, softly for the most part, but in the chorus she sang louder, taunting the pair. "Love is in the air, everywhere I look around Love is in the air, every sight and every sound And I don't know if I'm being foolish Don't know if I'm being wise But is something that I must believe in And it's there when I look in your eyes" She chuckled and watched the pair. When would they wake up to themselves?
hair twisted as her head snapped to the side from which the song had come.. (she is not a pixie she is a girl not a pixie.. grrr.. lol) closing her eyes and shaking her head.. thinking of the small voice.. with in a whisper she spoke.. "you sound like Doe Eyes.." she gave a small laugh..
Brilton's head snapped to attention with the sound. Without warning, what once was solid was shadow, and what was once seen was purely a mist. Brilton disappeared.
at hearing nothing else from the small form she turned her attention back to Briliton but he was gone.. she lowered her head down once more emitting a small growl not of a beast just a growl .. her long hair covering her face.. where had he gone.. it was a disappointing thought... the hand of which held her staff seemed to grasp it tight.. standing just a moment thinking that he had become tired of her and so she took a small step forward then stopped.. reviewing their encounter in her mind she would try not to forget.. she had finally met someone that was not walking on four legs.. but was he truly gone? that question had also run threw her mind...
.Ellemire could not help but giggle at the disappearing mass. She looked to the girl (there. Not pixie ~pet~) and tilted her head in slight sympathy. Wings folded as she stepped towards her. "Love the dress." She smiled warmly at the girl, head still tilted as she looked at her dress. She gave a small grin, putting her head up straight again as tiara of flowers started to fall from her head. "He's just shy... most men are that way." She nodded and put a small hand on her arm. "Not very handsome though..." she whispered to her, aware that Brilton's pressence was still with them.
her eyes rolled as she shook her head.. then kneels down.. "thank you for the compliment.. but have you ever met a young girl named Doe Eyes?" ((sorry its so short..))
True, Brilton had not gone far, he was in reality behind this intruder who was speaking with Neshna. Listening silently to what she had to say.
The comment struck a chord, and the vampire within him was revealed. Not handsome?! Brilton had charmed many a lady, not for love but for blood. Out of pride, Brilton realized the bait but would not show himself.
He would wait for the right moment.
Speaking quietly behind them, he remained unseen but wished this comment to be spoken. "You greatly underestimate me stranger. Do you truly know my intentions or reasons for what I choose to do?" His voice was cool and was laced with threat.
to the intruder " you may wish to meet her and get her away from here for me.." from behind a tree a small giggle and had come up quickly to the intruder.. she looked to be around 7yrs old.. "i don't like the feeling of this place please could we go play.." she was young but understood allot.. Neshna's eyes lifted to where his voice had come.. her eyes seemed to glow a green so dark it seemed to be black... she smirked.. she would never tell but she thought the intruder was mistaken.. but she was not going to be his personal blood bank.. and her heart was never won.. so what would become..
Despite how it looked, Brilton was not after her blood. He prefered human, pure human. Revealing himself, he stood directly behind them his blue eyes glowing a deep red.
"I'm sure you'd want a better look at me." He said directly to the stranger. Smirking, his pale features were washed with shadow, but he could not help that.
The oddly placed elf glanced slightly at Neshna, a cocky grin splaying across his face. He wished he could known what she was thinking.
