It wasn't very often that he was able to stretch his wings and soar around the skies. But when he made the effort, he always thought the end result, seeing the world from above, was worth it.
Ulysses was curious what lands the fates had brought him to this time, so he decided to survey the area by doing what seemed the best thing, fly around the new world and seek out those that seemed friendly enough. He figured a 50 foot long White Dragon with long white wings wouldn't be too hard to spot around these parts, especially with the sky being as blue as the oceans and lakes nearby. Or at least they seemed nearby, from this altitude.
His keen eyes spotted something in the water, swimming slowly and near the surface. It's silvery image was clear enough to know it was a salmon. Ulysses was getting a little hungry, so he decided it was time to find some food. He dived down, gliding closer to the water, eventually snatching the salmon easily and then splashing back up, gulping down the salmon in one bite. Ah...a filling morsel. Ulysses thought as he swallowed the fish and smiled. That'll at least tide me over until something more substantial becomes available.
As he passed a hill into a large, grassy field, he noticed all at once a large flock of sheep. Hmmmmm...now that's what I call service.
He hoped the shepherd, if there was one, wouldn't mind if he took just one.
